The Best Golf Game on the planet, Front Page Sports Golf is a great golf simulation. Finally somebody has come up with a way to emulate the golf swing without any of the pains of the golf swing. Sierra uses the TrueSwing technology which they have implemented beautifully.

FPS Golf differs from most golf games in that the golfer and the buildings are computer generated, meaning that they don't look as real as a photograph or movie. But it also means that you as the player have more control over the way that they look and behave. Which is a trade off that I would make any day.

The designers of FPS Golf, happen to be the designers of Links and Links 386 Pro, took into account every detail, from the sound effects that a ball makes when it hits the water, to the birds flying overhead, to the heckling golfing buddy. It all comes together nicely in the form of FPS Golf. Another nice feature is the ability to play 64 or more players, across the LAN, modem or Serial.

FPS Golf does not have a course generator like some of the others, which I think is a downfall. Of all the golf games, this is the one that I would like to make a course for. Hopefully an editor will be forthcoming. Right now there are two add-on courses: Coeur d'Alene and Black Diamond Ranch.

FPS Golf is terrific golf game, one of the best that I have played. I would recommend it to anybody that is interest in playing golf, it is great for a rainy day.
