Interactive Fiction
Alot of times the shareware games are overlooked because they don't come in a glossy box, they don't have a color manual. But that doesn't make them any less fun! This month I would like to talk about shareware adventure games. I don't know about you but I remember playing the old infocom adventure games for hours and hours. Like Zork (the original zork). And they were a ton of fun. Well there are several shareware authors out there that have been creating text adventure games for many years, and more importantly they have been creating tools, that anybody can download and use to create there own text adventures. So if you ever have wanted to write a piece of interactive fiction, but have lacked the time to create system then this is just the thing for you.
The primary tools available are AGT, HUGO, INFORM, and ADVSYS.
