Shareware
Shareware used to be the games that you would purchase on a floppy at the computer for 5 for a $1.00. Today there is two kinds of shareware, 1)an application that an individual or corporation creates and would like to sell but can't afford the packaging and advertising, 2) an application that a corporation creates, that they need somebody to Beta test, do a little market research, and to basically get the product out there to build anticipation of the real thing. Plus they can also gage how successful the application will, be so they will know how many CD to press.
This section deals with the first kind of shareware, because the rest of the site is dedicated to the second type of shareware, and the eventual commercial product.
